We learned from this source that fast food is very convienient and many people survey they know fast food is unhealthy and they choose not to eat it,but reality is that they eat it multiple times a week. Fast food is consumed more and once a week by families because now a days mothers have more on their plate then cooking and cleaning. Women have no time to cook and clean because in this century they work long shifts.

Society today think of fast food and think "junk food" and inexpensive. Fast food today is convienient because people have so much to do in so little time,so the thought of going threw a drive thru sounds way easier and better than cooking. One thing parents do not know is that fats, sugars, and salts are appealing to their children primordial tastes. The most common diease that effects children is obesity. Research shows that 15-20 % of children 12-18 years of age are overweight. Obesity effects children emotionally and mentally. These are the main pointers we learned.

Fast food adevrtisements have turned society around they give information about fast food to people and give them updates on new items on the menu. They spend alot of money to market the food on commercials and the catch is that they sell alot of the food at a cheap cost and are gaining alot more money by all the service they get. Fast food is known to be unhealthy and bad fory our health but these commercials seem to attrack people more and adict them to it.

Fast food restaurants not only effect health but our environment. Fast food is packaged with unnecessary condiments that end up being a primary source of urban litter. The most common waste is foamed condiments. These packages easily float their way through gutters and storm drains it eventually reaches our water ways and then contaminates the sea life. The CAW, a plastics campaign is working to make fast food restaurants in the state to use recyclable materials. They are also working with communities to fix this situation.

Children's perceptions of "better tasting food" is always influenced through the packaging of the food.A student at Stanford University did a study on 3-5 year olds from low income families to sample taste food with mc donalds labels and unmarked labels. The result of this was that 77% of the children thought the Mcdonalds labeled food taste better than the generic packaging.The graphics given showed the amount of times parents take their children to Mcdonalds per week and month. The highest score was 2-3 times a week.

We learned that the nutritional statement information vary on what sides you get with your happy meal and what drink you get. Those children who get chicken nugget happy meal with white milk and a small fries are eating 520 calories,60 more calories with chocolate milk. And if you want to add 10 more calories you can get apples with carmel dip. The hamburger happy meal with sprite and small french fries is 590 calories,and if you'd like to add cheese and make it a cheeseburger you'd be eating 640 calories of junk.

This source displayed a perspective in which fast food was being encouraged. It claims Subway is nutritious and can be healthy for a balanced diet. It’s one of the first articles we’ve seen with the bias being on the side of fast food. It shows me that not all fast food can be unhealthy for your nutrition and that you have to lower your calorie intake.

We learned from this source that one of the reasons why fast food is eaten so much is due to its convenience. You can purchase fast food hot and ready at any time of the day for a cheap price, but this doesn't make fast food any better to eat. Consuming too much is one of the quickest ways to obesity. It also leaves hormones that will make you crave more and more of the fast food.
